Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
those symptoms aren't new to me. i have accepted them as standard anxiety symptoms since my teen years in the late 60's, early 70's. however, being standard anxiety symptoms doesn't make them easy or okay to endure. all these years later, it is still a mega-drag to wake up on a sweat-soaked pillow with the feeling that i am about to jump out of my skin.
the good new is that i have acquired many psychotherapy tools which help me manage the anxiety enough that i typically don't need to experience those symptoms too many days in a row.
steadying support and gentle empathy while you find your own.
welcome aboard.
Yes, I get all kinds of anxiety symptoms. You are not alone in this.
What strikes me about your post, is that you said this started 3 weeks ago. What happened about 3 weeks ago in your life, that you think could be causing more anxious thoughts?
Sometimes if we know what caused these thoughts, and it has started so recently, it can be controlled easier. Not always, but I am hoping for you that it can.
Writing it out can help figure out where the anxious or stressful or worrisome thoughts started from.
It's often a sign of dehydration. Could need just a sip of water to help body cool off.
I use different weight of blankets for sleeping, and sometimes, I get really warm and kick off a heavier blanket to grab a lighter one to stay comfortable.
Its good to start now and see whats triggering it, and to start making positives out of those moments.
For over 10 years I've been dealing with this and therapists and it got better than worse etc. I did all this stuff like diet, exercise, calming techniques etc. But it doesn't solve the issue. The brain reacts, if the brain didn't react we wouldn't survive.
My suggestion is to start turning any trigger to a positive and dont listen to the fear !
