I think relationships with others of both sexes are important and generally those relationships form through activities. Men in particular relate to other men through activities. A man buys a motorcycle, joins a motorcycle group, forms friendships with others in the motorcycle group. If he sells the motorcycle he will likely lose touch with those friends. So to that end, think about activities that you can enjoy that can involve other people. If you have the means to get a dog, by all means get a dog. They provide tons of emotional and health benefits. They give you companionship, unconditional love, exercise though walking as well as that activity you can have in common with others. Many single women take their dogs to the dog park.
As far as overthinking, that's something I've dealt with for many years. The best advice I can give you there is daily meditation. There are tons of YouTube videos that can help you there. I also practice daily Wim Hof breathing which is a great segway into meditation. It takes a little getting used to - I didn't like it at first. You alternate strong breaths with holding your breath but you hold your breath after exhaling. There's YouTube videos for that too - just start with the short one (10 or 11 minutes total).
Best of luck to you.
