Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

So I started my meds about 2 weeks ago exactly. I was placed on them because the first doctor thought my anxiety was just really bad. Turns out I had an infection, which made my anxiety worse. What prior to the infection though, I felt fine like 85% of the time. I mostly just didn't get enough sleep. So I started these meds before knowing why I was having this huge anxiety attack.
now, I feel that my anxiety is worse. I have an attack at least once a day. Before, they were rare as I could mostly control myself. Today, I had a few anxiety attacks. The most recent one came about 20 minutes after taking my meds. My chest got a cold spot that sat for a minute and then spread all throughout my chest area. Didn't reach my head so it was small. Once it was done, I almost felt like out of body. Things were too clear. I feel a little more normal laying in bed but I just felt way too aware of myself. I don't know if that makes sense. I just hate taking medicine. I nearly put the pill back every time and I winder if that's hot me on edge. I don't take meds often from doctors unless I have no choice.. this just feels like a step backwards. I was healing myself.

Proof unavailable, but I do believe that forcing myself to accept pharmaceutical help was highly instrumental in helping me heal that psychotic conflict. Settling that conflict might have been even more important than the emotional baseline to shoot for in my current holistic approach to managing my mental illness. Maybe. . . Proof unavailable, but for sure, those medicated years were my first life experience with a stable emotional baseline. I was raised in the chaos of parental desperation.
Dunno if that strictly personal herstory is helpful to your current struggle or not. Just sharing.
Gentle support while you write your own herstory, Archer.
I lost my job on Oct 8th, I had several interviews but no call backs, that's 3 months of sitting at home ALONE nearly every day. I get out maybe once a week. then I got sick, and that rattled me to the core. I had my blood work done twice, an EKG done twice. Im ok, im literally just letting this anxiety beat me and I don't know how to stop it. even when I think im having a good day, it slips in out of no where.
