Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hi all... Long story short I lost my job due to taking too many days off and they thought I forged a doctor's note which I did not. I was a teacher so a union lawyer is fighting on my behalf. I am being denied unemployment and I lose my healthcare coverage tomorrow. It's safe to say I am deeply upset. The anxiety and OCD thoughts are at an all time high. How much more can a person take ?? I feel sad and angry at my situation. Thankfully, I live at home still but my parents are hard to live with ( they blame me for this situation)... I am actively looking for a job for the past month but no interviews have happened! Wtf is wrong with me ? How did I go from being a teacher to pawing at a job at Walgreens? ( No offense to anyone who works there!! I love that place !) I just need something to get by and manage my panic) anxiety in the meantime. Thank you for reading this...I feel like I can't open up to anyone except you guys here on DS ..

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I don't know if it would help but going over your job description to make sure you are clear may help, maybe point out your job description to the lawyer and see if there is any protection from that. I work for a utility so I know how it can get when the crosshairs fall on someone's back. You need to fight back but make sure you do your homework, (no pun intended,) it may save your position.
Decisions made about unemployment are never easy to manage, and having an attorney is helpful in that you have someone in your corner to give support. It is something you just have to put aside, since you've done all you can do, so focus on what you can do!
Best wishes!
