Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Well my anxiety been extreme with my schedule however my youngest started community college today!
I very proud of her as it's not been no easy feat as she is dyslexic and has adhd. I battled with school since she was in 1st grade so have watched her learn and grow. I had to make her change high schools her sophomore year which in the moment I hated as I changed schools so much I always tried to keep my kids at same schools. Due to my new job at the time it just wasn't possible. However that move I feel was best thing for her. The resources at the high school were phenomenal where at the old one I felt barely did what they were suppose to to help her.
She gets some added resources at college and I attended meeting with her. I help get her a planner and just ideas to stay organized but she learn her way too.
so her sister at the university (maybe third year....lost track) and my son is working on starting as his new job covers tuition. So no matter what they do they are awesome kids but it nice to watch them progress along.

I'm a naturally quiet person. My mom said she used to pinch me as a baby just to make sure I could cry. It takes a lot to get a loud reaction from me. This is why I asked AI today, why coworkers, family and others are in my face loud trying to get a rise out of me. I love the AI response: People often compete with quiet people because they misread your silence as weakness, a hidden threat,...

Please don’t take this in any kind of way other than a total compliment but you remind me of my mom when my siblings and I were growing up. My dad was a turd. Terrible, useless, absent parent and spouse (she left him when I was senior in high school). She really struggled so hard for so many years raising us by herself and keeping a roof over our heads but man if she didn’t push us to find our own path. My siblings and I always marvel still how we turned out. Not perfect but productive, decent humans who found our footing. I mean I think I had to grow up way too fast with too many responsibilities at a young age but she always encouraged our growth as individuals.
It took me years to really grasp how strong she had to be all the time, keeping all the balls in the air all the time. Later in life she still would always talk about how proud she was of us. She’d say it to us and to anyone who would listen. I wish I had told her more directly that how we turned out was not luck but so much because of her, what she was willing us to do and hoping for us but also what she was modeling. When you see your mom always hustling and digging deep to make life work for her family, hard to not absorb some of that resolve.
All this to say I love how you see your kids as awesome people. Bet a lot of that comes from you creating a life where they can be their best selves. So high five to you too!
