Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

i was wondering if anyone can help? For the past 2/3 weeks I've been getting weird sensations in my face but only on the right side. It starts at my eye and down my nose and just on the right side of my mouth. The skin from my nose leading to the side of my mouth feels tight almost as if I have sunburn and the skins been pulled tighter. But my top lip (just on right side) feels as if it's swollen and hanging over my bottom lip, it's not but it feels this way. I keep getting vision problems and it sometimes feels tender around my eye. I went to the optician who said my eyes were in perfect health but today when I went to the G.P she has said she thinks I may have a touch of Neuralgia. However she's not treating it just yet and isn't going to test right away for it as she said I'm too young to have it (I'm 25) but if it keeps happening then they will defo look into it. When I have looked it up on the internet it says that neuralgia is a pain in the face but I don't have pain and I told her there was no pain but the thing that's worrying me is that on some of the sites I have read information off it has said it can be caused by MS which I have suspected for a while of having but my symptoms are also classic of having anxiety too. The thing is I used to be a career so looked after a number of patients with MS and I have seen first hand what their lifestyle is like (paralysis and wheelchair bound) and this is what I eat terrified of. 1 patient even said they thought they had it for a while but no one would listen and now she's paralyzed only able to move one arm. I don't want to end up like this I can't stop crying thinking I have it which is making my anxiety worse and I don't know what to do about it. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm terrified if I was to get diagnosed with MS I know I wouldn't be able to cope and I am even contemplating ending it now before it gets to that stage.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
If it is stemming from anxiety from what you observe in your work place, you'll have to take the two prong method to heal and understand how you can keep your balance in sync without taking on the sensations of those you are around.
You have to take time to relax, destress, and be calm when you enter and leave the work place. Working with chronic illnesses clients requires a diligent effort to keep your health and well-being in the best level.
With anxiety, the facial nerve is often the first place where high stress is noticed, especially if you miss the other little sensations first. The first step is keeping a journal to pinpoint the direction of the sensations, the times, the places, and I use a simple drawing to keep track of these.
I hope this helps. You are not alone. Best wishes.
