Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I posilutely relate to elevated morning anxiety. Mine even extends to hyper-vigilant awakenings where I jump out of bed in full combat mode before my eyes are even open.
I haven't learned how to stop it, but I have learned how to channel it into my daily mental health check, exercises, etc. With practice, those morning anxiety attacks are getting calmer. Some days are still easier than others.
Gentle support while you find what works for you. Welcome aboard.
A couple things I've been trying lately:
- breathing exercises... I lay there and focus on breathing. Breath in to a count of 4 and out to a count of 8, and just repeat. Giving my mind something to focus on, along with the benefits of the deep breathing, sometimes helps
- getting up and doing things... the other thing I do sometimes is get up and just start my morning routine... kind of try and ignore the feelings of anxiety. Getting moving and doing things can help give my mind real things to focus on rather than spinning on the anxious thoughts.
Hope you are able to find something that works for you. Keep reaching out, people are here to listen.
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
Take a moment to breathe, relax, and pause before jumping up to begin the day.
God speed.
