Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
so feeling some anxiety. I don’t know why. I’ve been feeling great the last couple of weeks. I’m not really stressing over anything so why am I feeling this way. It’s so frustrating. And I’m trying to figure out what triggers it. The fear. My head hurt this am. Why is this still happening. What are my triggers. I do keep thinking I’m alone. I’ve been solo for several months. I have friends but no one serious. And I guess somehow it’s freaking me out. And perhaps it’s because I had a date this weekend and I really thought this was the guy. But when we went out I didn’t like the way he was dressed and he wasn’t all that attractive and he hardly talked the whole time. I kept having to engage him in convo. And it felt like my wusband all over again. So after the date I knew I was back to square one as far as getting to know someone on a serious note. So bingo that’s my trigger- thoughts of being alone and not having a mate. Ugh. So many people are ok with being solo. And sometimes it doesn’t bother me but yeah I guess I’m freaked out. Any words of wisdom I’d gladly appreciate it. Ugh

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

For what it's worth:
Strictly personal
Somebody looking and/or acting like a perpetrator of past trauma is a common psych trigger in my own trauma processing. How erratically I trigger is a trusted measure of how thoroughly I have processed the traumas which they represent.
When shared about my strictly personals, I was AssUming that the divorce was long behind you. Now I am wondering if the fact that the divorce is still pending makes moves the *trigger* from flashback country to a signal that you have yet to achieve closure on the still bubbling trauma. Just wondering in a not-mine-to-sort sort of way. . .
Hope you can be gentle with yourself while you are beating up on this still open wound. Hope healing happens here. The healing mysteries have yet to respect the dockets my control panel issues on that score. I have come to agree with the Algonquin proverb that time has no meaning in the healing process, especially for the psychic wounds.
You're on the right track writing it out.
Best wishes.
Please stay strong. I pray that things will be well with you.
Keep us posted. God bless.
I, too, have been feeling pretty decent the last few weeks and then today my mood crashed and I sunk into fear and anxiety. Doesn't help that I really don't like the summer heat. It all seems so simple what I want -- to have a mate and not be alone. Yet I don't have it. Opportunities seem to abound all around me, but the worrier/stresser/internal chitchatter inside me gets activated and screws things up for me. And then I feel ungrounded and fragile and insecure.
