Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I've had people call me out for turning down a local event, just because I didn't give a reason. Later on, after a while had passed, I asked what the big deal was and just shook my head.
There are times when you choose the high road for your well-being. It's not worth being angry over a positive decision you made, unless you feel it was wrong.
So therefore any guy who turns it down is somehow "doing it wrong."
The last boyfriend I had used to get an ego trip out of telling me how many girls he had turned down, and under what circumstances. He made himself look fantastic with the stories, but as I got to know him better I realised he was turning a failure into a success: he was describing situations where he was paralysed with fear, inadequate, had a sexual dysfunction that I helped him with but at the time wouldn't have known what to do with it - into stories about his self control, standards, beliefs, etc.
That's probably what people think is going on when they see a guy turn down a girl.
So yeah, that's where they are probably coming from if they think you're mad. I would think you were mad, too. When there is a choice between nothing and something, something is better. Especially when you are young. When you are old, I think nothing is often favourable to something that isn't good enough, but when you are young, get what you can because it's all life experience and everyone young is shockingly useless at life; all of them. That's you as well as the other person. Everyone needs to learn and grow, and they don't do that at home with a good book.
