General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Yesterday before bed I tired meditating for 30 mins. It went horrible I got interrupted once and from their my brain started attacking myself with negative thoughts. I could not seem to find peace through my breathing. Mid way through the session I wanted to just give up and try to sleep but I finished it through but still felt the same. Why do our mind seem to be our biggest hater at time. It makes me go insane.

Meditation is a good way to make our minds center and at peace.

My mind's got a mind of its own
It takes me out a walkin' when I'd rather stay at home
Takes me out to parties when I'd rather be alone
My mind's got a mind of its own
I let it be okay when my mind gets rebellious during meditation and I still believe taking the time to meditate is productive, ESPECIALLY on the days my mind has a mind of its own. It it's gonna be out wandering, at least I'll have some clues where it is wandering off too. I figure that my meditations are more about awareness than imitating a mythical guru on a mountaintop.
