Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I've been having bad anxiety on and off for a couple of weeks now. Overthinking, trauma-thinking, hyper-focusing, etc, etc. I know better than to check my blood pressure when I'm like this (even though I normally can a regular reading with anxiety), but I did it anyway and got a higher than normal reading, but I'm not trying to overreact to it. Just feels bad today and I hate when it feels like it will never go away, since it has been happening more frequently. Also, I'm trying to remember that I've had days like this before, granted, not for a long time, but I have days like this and I've gotten through 100% of them. Also, it's only 3, my day can get better!
I'm trying to get back into a routine to feel better about myself but it's just hard to get into. This year, I've been stuck and sitting in bed a lot, that leads to overthinking and overreacting to what I'm feeling in my body. Then, a couple of family members had health issues and my mother got into my head and made me think their problems will happen to me. I've though I've beaten the problems that they have. I know she does it of worry, but it has totally threw me off of my game/confidence. I have to get my confidence back, I also have to stop thinking that I need to it alone, and I'm so glad to you guys to open up to and not burden my girlfriend with all of my thoughts. Not saying I should burden you all with my thoughts either lol. I just need to vent more. Maybe I need to vent on here weekly...but I get self-conscious that that will be too much...
Thank you all for listening! Peace, love, and hugs to you all!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
It seemed like you felt better before when you were taking those walks. Can you get back to doing the walking again? I have found that walking really clears my head.
It has been shown that exercise (walking) lowers stress, anxiety and depression. I definitely feel better after I've taken a long walk.
It's an instant better feeling for me! Hope you can get to doing your walks again.
We're here for you!!
will it help to remind you that anxiety is a hard-wired piece of the human genome? making my peace with anxiety is far easier than rewriting the human DNA.
