Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So they say people are suppose to be more understanding and caring lately. Like everyone is in the same damn boat as the rest of us. We all gotta wear the mask, yet I see so many not wearing a mask at all. I know I don't like em either. But I would rather wear a mask then die of Covid. Some people are so paranoid about going down a store isle the wrong way. I'm like, I don't care which end of the isle you go down. Your money spends just as good as everyone elses. I know they say its to keep us safe. But I don't get it. You can have 10 people go down the same isle at the same time, and I bet not one of them will practice social spacing. The only time ppl use that is when they are in line somewhere. But you never see another person walk way around someone else. It's always within a matter of a foot or two, depending on where you are.
So, my anxiety has been through the roof because I'm constantly overthinking everything. Like I wish I could just go with the flow like I used to. But no I have to think of all the bad things that are going to happen first before I think of all the fun I'm going to have. I ping pong between the bad thoughts and good thoughts until my brain is exhausted. I mean, there are so many things to think about before you do something. I know my partner keeps telling me to just relax, take one step at a time. I do take one step at a time. I think about all the bad things then I think of all the good things that can happen. Those are my steps. Talk about having a bad relationship with yourself. Me and myself have arguements all the time, and I usually lose lol. I have been trying a new approach to anxiety that I haven't used before. I've been trying to make jokes about it. I figure if ya can't beat em, join em. Well, here I am, trying to use humor. I know I suck at it but it's a learning experience.
Well that's me today, hope everyone had a good week. Just breathe, as my partner says. This too shall pass.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Kindness does help everyone. I hope people treat each other kindly and that you both have an easier time in the stores.
Gentle empathy on the increased anxiety levels. Those are pandemic on both sides of the mask controversy.
Healing hopes for all. No exceptions.
Thank you for the report of the kindness outbreak in your neighborhood, Mid. May that outbreak go pandemic. I miss random acts of kindness at least as much as I miss indecently exposed smiles.
can do to protect yourself and others.
They are incredibly uncomfortable but the US is so far behind other nations in bringing our numbers down, I recently hear that a poll indicated that only about 60% of those surveyed are wearing masks regularly.
I am also seeing so many random acts of kindness amidst this horrific time. No judging hear on people who are unable to wear masks. There are some legitimate reasons that people are unable to do so
