Man! I hate it when superiors at work just expect me to know things that I have no way of knowing!
Fighting an anxiety attack right now because I'm working on a 30 page report that is like, years overdue (that's the government for ya!) and they want me to update all the references so the current version makes sense.
In the meantime, the landfill that is referenced in the report has gone through multiple major changes, equipment has been decommissioned, new equipment put in place, the landfill doubled in size, etc. I am NOT familiar with this site at ALL! How could I possibly know what went on out there 15 years ago unless I lived it or spend 2 weeks researching the place?! (Yes, it is a very complicated site.)
Oh yeah, and those references? FOUR 3-INCH BINDERS completely full to the brim of 25 years worth of stuff.
And you know that when they put this together 15 years ago, there were totally different standards and no one ever thought that anyone would actually look at this crap again. So now I've got to figure this out "in a timely manner" so I don't look too much like an idiot.
::sigh:: sorry about that little rant. It just seems so unfair and I feel like I can't say much because I'm low man on the totem pole. Heck, that's probably why I got this...because no one else wanted to deal with it...pay your dues I guess.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I know, when you put it all together to make sense of it, it's hard to put the pieces into place properly.
You can do this, page by page, and it's a way to make your personal professional style shine!
Best wishes!
I want to use that someday. Blargh.
