For the past few weeks ive been having intrusive thoughts like crazy. I've never had them this bad before. Images and words at the same time. I feel like a nasty disgusting person for having these images in my head. I know they aren't real and I'm not and never will be that type of person but i can't figure out how to get rid of them. I have barely showered in the past week nor washed my hair, I'm supposed to be going over my boyfriend's house tomorrow and just dont wana go over there with these images in my hair. I talked to a potential new therapist today so hopefully I can start to see her next week.

For what it's worth
One of the tools I have used to help me forgive myself for the horrific scenarios that have run through my head is to develop them into short stories. The shrink I was working with when I first started to develop this technique, "Reframing." I learned quite allot about my own psycho weirds over the course of developing plot lines and characters.
Gentle support while you find what works for you. Intrusive thoughts are a force of nature unto themselves.
My pyschiatrist/therapist always tells me to remember that these thoughts are simply the product of misfiring neurons.
i hope it goes well with your new therapist and that you get some relief from those thoughts.
