Hello all,
lately I have not been able to sleep. It's been since May. I've been trying to work with a therapist and now on Zoloft 50 mg for 5 weeks. I have tried trazadone and Remeron which didn't really work and hydroxyzine is somewhat helpful at times. I'm wondering if people have any advice on other things to them? This insomnia is literally causing me to feel insane. I work 7-4 and I honestly lay awake at night so anxious. If no advice I'm just hoping someone is dealing with the same thing. I literally worry about sleeping all the time and it makes me overwhelmed.

My therapy journal was my main tool for breaking that cycle. Writing about my anxieties of the day helped me focus the anxieties far enough to set them aside and sleep without the nightmares that made restorative rest seem like an impossible dream. Restful activities such as sewing, working puzzles, sketching, etc., were more restorative than the dreadful tossing and turning.
Gentle support while you find what works for you, Kate. Insomnia sucks, both literally and figuratively.
Get those words on paper. It's effective helping find a calm moment to rest.
