Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I desperately need some positive reinforcement. I have panic attacks and was on zoloft for 6 years at 50 mg. Life was great. Stress at work caused panic to come back. Went to 75 mg for 8 weeks with no relief. So switched to Lexapro (10 mg) for almost a year when again stress at work caused panic to come back -- increased lexapro to 20 mg and it made me a zombie and very anxious even after 6 weeks.
So I go to a psychiatrist instead of GP and she thought we should try zoloft again and work up to 100 mg. 50 mg one week - felt pretty good -- still some panic, 100 mg one week and on day 8 I am a mess with extra anxiety and shakiness.
I am usually really tough about working through this - but I am really starting to get scared that I can't be fixed. Any words of advice for me? Is it going to be okay?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
My advice is to keep sharing the load here. With a bit of stabilizing support the answers are easier to find. It helps to know you are not alone with ^it^.
Welcome aboard. Listening. . .
The symptoms you describe mean the zoloft is working effectively and you need a bit more regular hydration to minimize those symptoms.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
You could ask them if you could stay at the 50 mgs. You don't always *have* to increase doses on a medication if you are doing good on a certain dose that works for you. You can stay at 50 mgs Zoloft, if they think that is okay.
More is not always better... when it comes to medication doses.
You're going to be okay.
