Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hey everyone. I am struggling with the most intense anxiety. I'd like to say that most of the acute anxiety I'm experiencing is from relationship challenges... but I'm not sure that's the truth. I think there's something deeper going on and it's my own inability to cope with life... being busy, work stress, worrying about literally EVERYTHING. I need to find some things that work for me. Some things I try are meditation (love meditation!), Audiobooks (self help), and just telling myself to be positive. But I have anxiety and pain from past hurts and life issues... I just can't seem to successfully manage my anxiety to the point that I need to. I am impatient. I expect perfection of others (I shouldn't). I have a temper. How can I get better? What can I work on every day so that I manage to SUCCESSFULLY keep my patience and stay calm, less anxious, etc.? Any ideas and encouragement are welcome. I don't want to keep hurting myself and the feelings of those around me just because of my crippling anxiety.

I find writing prompts to be the most helpful in organizing my anxiety brain.
Much love and good thoughts xxx
The gnarliest part of my own anxiety dance is that it never seems to stay logically compartmentalized. Relationship worries can bleed into work worries and mix rabidly with health worries, etc., etc., until I have circled virtual globes with my worry nets. One worry is too many, a million worries are not enough.
I take those psycho snot knots on my worry nets one at a time. Getting my anxieties into words and out into the fresh air of day goes quite a long way toward helping me manage the chaos.
I hope it helps you, too. Share freely. Share often. Welcome aboard.
The sad idea of hurting those around you is a good motivator to stay on plan. However, don't be surprised that those who really love and care for you are not always in a mode of exploding thoughts of profound "aghast" with your unusual behaviors and comments. Many step toward helping loved ones battling mental issues with the same fortitude of those they cherish.
It's great of you to try to be well. And I hope for you the best in the future.
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
