Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I am currently in the sub-tropics where there are two seasons: Summer and August. August usually starts in April or May and goes until. . . Well. . . Locally, a hard "winter" is hot and dusty on New Year's Eve. Before you get too envious of the summer weather we are currently enjoying, come taste our August and try not to complain about the bug bites, burns and burrs. I start dreaming of other eco-systems with my first sweat of August. I'll betcha heat stroke and/or high AC bills kill more more people here than freezing does in the sub-arctic.
Do ya think maybe birds are smarter than humans? They fly south for the winter and north for the summer. Their rent is cheaper than ours, too.
Southern CA is hot almost all year, no snow, but as you've seen lately on the news, drought each year from no rain, so we get wildfires... even this late, in mid November. Last year, Los Angeles set the record in the country as the hottest temperature on Thanksgiving Day at 92 degrees. Not very festive or holiday-like. We also get big, scary earthquakes, so I hope to be out of here before the Big One comes (it's already over due!)
So, I envy those of you that get a little snow and actually have 4 seasons (we get 1 season - hot). Enjoy yours :)
