I'm 25. I'm a single mom that still gets taken care of by her family. Anxiety and Depression is a real curse for me. I wake up and move like a zombie most of the time. I only do it for my child. I hurt. I'm not honest with my family about how bad cause they worry and it adds to my stress. I need a job. I apply for them but the thought of sitting in a chair in an interview being judged often leads to anxiety attacks. I find strength at moments to do it anyway but when they inevitably don't want me. I end up worse than I started. I'm scared, and tired. All of this is negative and my therapist wants me to work on it and i try. I'm already on effexor and ativan. My dad wants me off the ativan because he found that its only suppose to be used short term and its going on 3 years on it. My doctor will only change the dosage. I find myself not closer to controlling or living with my issues. I find myself on a spiral with no way out. I am sad for this life or the life I offer my child. My niece calls me grouchy and shes right. I'm 25, why am I not sucessful or independent or somebody. I hate this empty shelled person. I miss who I use to be. Sometimes I feel like I'm just a lazy whiney person who just doesn't want to live a normal life. Everyone has problems, I'm the only one lost in her made up problems. Thanks for listening

I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

How old is your son/daughter? Parenthood......especially single parenthood can really kick your mental butt in sooooo many different ways.
I don't think I'm looking for success really but more of a sense of ability to do something.......anything.
Now I'm 39, still supported by my parents and SSDI, and resigned to the fact that that's how it's going be for the rest of my life. I have Schizoaffective Disorder and PTSD as well as anxiety but I acknowledge that sometimes with these illnesses one cannot work.
Something to consider for you that would bring some extra money is in SSI, SSDI, or Food Stamps. I know it's hard to ask for help, but that's what these programs are for.
Wishing you the best for you and your child.
