Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Well I haven't had much of this lately as all the health related stuff that's been going on with me is just the usual. So I've been able to keep myself relatively calm about it. But tonight I am convinced I am going to get meningitis and die.
I don't really even know what it is but I know it's serious and I also know that I was supposed to get a shot for it when I turned 18 (a few months ago) but obviously i did not as I haven't even went anywhere in 2 years. I am not going to look up meningitis and research it because it's honestly probably going to make me feel a million times worse.
There is every now and then that research helps but that is so rare and when it doesn't help it really messes me up. So yeah idk if it is something you have to get from other people or if it just happens. But I am very scared.
Honestly today was just terrible all together my body has been hurting so much. Over the past few days it's been getting increasingly worse- along with my stomach hurting. I am assuming these body pains have something to do with my stomach problems because this never happens unless they are acting up.
But literally everything hurts I am starting to get really angry about it. Seems like I only get a day or two that's good and after that everything comes crashing down and I have to just completely space myself out of the present just to get by. I am feeling a lot of things today but I'm getting mad just typing this.
Tired of anxiety getting me down but I will do absolutely nothing about it. I guess I haven't hit the lowest point yet. I've heard people say stuff like you don't get better until you hit rock bottom. I'm always scared of getting lower than I already am it sounds terrifying but I doubt I will get better unless I am pushed to my limits.
I probably sound like a whiny little kid saying this stuff. Everyone else is actually pushing themselves to get better. I have no excuses my family is supportive and tries to help. I am capable. I just don't want to. It's too hard and I don't push myself. So yeah I'm not looking for advice here I guess I'm just angry venting about myself. I probably really need some therapy.

Where did you read about this? I hope you are staying off social media. Social media has so much false information on there... I can't even believe it.
Stomach issues... are you eating the three healthy meals every day still? Drinking eight 8 ounce glasses of water? Exercising 30 minutes a day?
I think it would help you greatly to have a routine. I forget, but are you in school? Work?
Too much idle time will definitely make our minds wander. I agree with you that therapy would really help you. Try it and you will see.
Keep journaling, and keep baking and playing guitar! :)
I didn't really read about it though. I got this letter from my health care thing saying what immunizations I would need after turning 18 and that is what started the worry about it.
But earlier I watched this short video on Snapchat of people who were amputees doing sports. One of the people got meningitis at a young age and lost all her limbs. In my head that was a "sign" that I should be worried about getting this shot bc I will probably die if I don't.
So yeah kind of staying off social media but not all the way as I really need some kind of social interaction. As for the eating, actually I have not been eating very well lately and I'm assuming that's why I am feeling worse. I've been having a hard time making food for myself my mental health has been pretty sucky lately. But I have been drinking water though I am usually good with that.
I have a small routine I do every day. I am not in school work work though. And for therapy I do want to try it but it's one of those things I have to put effort into and I'm too scared of change to push myself. So I'm not sure how to find the motivation just yet.
I get it about starting therapy. It's hard, and it's change, and it's the unknown. But what's good about therapy is you can tell them anything you want... things you can't talk about with your family or friends. And that can be very helpful with lots of things we are dealing with in life. I talk to my therapist once a week, and sometimes I need to talk to her a second time in a week, if I have something more going on. So it's kind of cool to have someone there that will talk to you about anything and everything.
And you can just start therapy and you can quit any time you want... but if it helps you, then isn't it worth trying one time?
Oh and you better eat those healthy meals!!! :) It will really help your mood and anxieties.
Fear of change is natural and often even beneficial for just about every species on the planet, but balance in all things. The choice is up to you on whether to continue this half-life or open yourself to the rich array of options available **out there**.
Gentle support while you choose between more business-as-usual or taking the risk to grow your world bigger than it is today. Keep venting. Your own answers are **in there**.
you do sound restless--like you want a little more out of life==I say, go for it--take baby steps--use that substantial brain of yours and problem solve....bake, play guitar, write it out, maybe you will end up writing a novel! maybe you will become a professional wedding cake baker! Maybe you will be the next Adele...
I also agree therapy will be helpful--especially if you get a really good therapist..
I do want more out of life. I don't reslly want anything outside of my little bubble though. I reslly just want my house to be nicer and not falling apart. My room is in the basement it's ugly the floor is concrete and there is mold in here. I'm just feeling like I need to get out of here but there is no where else for me to have my room. So yeah that's why I've been restless really just wanting to have a clean healthy space to live but I cant have that. We don't have the money to fix the basement and replace all the water damaged paneling.
Not trying to frighten you, but that is a serious thing that will affect your daily health and you can't be breathing that in at all or be in the same room as the mold. If it were me, I would be much more concerned about being around mold every day than the meningitis (that probably won't happen, so don't worry about that).
Get it cleaned up! You will feel better health-wise.
I do my best to keep the walls clean but there is only so much I can do. The entire basement needs ripped apart and re done as all the paneling is water damaged from the last flood. We have ripped out all the carpet as well. It just keeps getting worse and we can't afford to do anything about it.
So yes I am aware mold is dangerous and bad but I cant do a lot about it. It's not a huge amount of mold thankfully. We have a dehumidifier which helps a little bit.
I've dealt with it for years and I'm sure it does cause some of my health problems. Heck some day it'll probably give me cancer or something if it hasn't already. But it is what it is. I try not to let it get to me too much because there is nothing I can do to stop it.
Do you have allergies, sinus issues, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, stinging eyes, etc?
I do try to air out my room regularly and occasionally put the dehumidifier in here though. And I think I sometimes get allergies but so far the small amount of mold that's down here hasn't messed with them.
The only time it got bad was the first time I found mold I'm my room and there was a lot so they tore out my carpet. I had a wooden box on my floor right against the wall that has some water come in and it had a huge spot of black mold under it. I had chest pains for a while after that and had to sleep in my sister's room til mine was totally bleached and cleaned out.
