Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Anxiety has always made things in my life harder and one of the worst things that happens is I have a bad thought, a mean thought, just any kind of thought I don't want to have and I feel SO guilty that I even thought it. Sometimes I believe the thought and sometimes I don't, but regardless it still has the same effect. One of which being something about my boyfriend and I tried to explain when I was on the verge of a panic attack and it came out so wrong and basically made it sound like I said something horrible I didn't mean because I couldn't find the right words. Now I might lose him and after 3 years of loving him and us working through so many things and getting stronger, I don't know what is going to happen. I am so tired of these thoughts, I am tired of feeling guilty, I am tired of overthinking and I just can't take it anymore. I met with my doctor today and got prescribed two new medications to try instead of what I was taking before. I don't want to lose him and I don't want my anxiety interfereing with my life anymore... I have therapy tomorrow with a new counselor so I am hoping to find solutions to these problems. I know I keep saying I am tired... But I really am so tired of my life being this way. I just want to be happy and have hope that I won't feel like this forever. I don't know if many people will even read this, but if you are there... Have you been tired too? Did you make it out of this? I just want to feel like my life will be okay soon... Thanks for reading. Sending good thoughts to all.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

It sounds like you are taking active steps in managing the anxiety! Having a counselor while beginning new medications will be helpful as you can have them as a source of support and also explore solutions that will be helpful for you!
I can relate to a lot of aspects of your experience! When I am having, or about to have, a panic attack, my thoughts are so irrational. But unfortunately it takes me spiraling into these thoughts aloud to realize how irrational they are. It's only when I come out of a panic attack that I realize that they aren't even accurate, like I don't feel or think them when I'm not having one. I also had a recent experience with my boyfriend, whom I have also been with for three years, where I shared all these 'panic thoughts' and I felt so guilty. The timing was horrible and what I said was not even representative of anything I truly feel. We had a 'reflection' the next day about it. It was helpful for me to be able to share and talk about it when I felt calm and 'in my right mind' and I think it helped him and myself better understand my anxiety.
This was my most recent interfering anxiety event and I am feeling so much better after it. I used it to motivate myself to make positive changes in my life that I know decrease my anxiety.
I too have gone through periods of time where I feel sooooo tired and I feel like I will never be normal or happy and those times always pass. I try to remind myself when I am 'in it' that, like I said, they always pass, so I know it will this time too! I am now trying to take an active role in helping myself through them when they happen. And it sounds like something you are doing right now too! With seeing a counselor and trying new medication! Thank you for sharing your experience! Keep us posted!
