Gareth is getting worse, he cant put his pants and trousers on as his back is stiff whhich I told him it would be if he didnt do some yogape some 33 years ago, obviously he took no notice. I now have to help the two of them in the shower or different reasons. When I went too get my haircut, gareth had fallen in the street again, he has bruised his hip. Someone picked him up, he had his stick with him that time. He is scared he is going to falll which makes it more likely. He shouts at passing cars, people crossing the road, this week he has an appointment in Newport and we wil have to go by bus and walk part of the way, I just hope he doesnt fall over on route. He wont take his iron tablets as he suffers from bowel side effects. But then complains he is tired all the time. I'd like to put him in a care home, then atleast I would only be looking after one not two. None of his family would come down to help it takes about 30 mins to get here. and why should they change a 33 year habit. We visited them they never came to us.

Today is the birthday of my favorite aunt. I lost her 2 years after the death of my mom. I miss you aunt FranSince I feel I am a family of one with no real love around, guess I will love myself. I may dye my hair later today. But first, I will shop for a nice fall jacket and maybe look for a good fall/Oct festival in the area

Where I live, there are private companies that help families find the right care home. It sounds like this might be what he needs at this time but this might make you feel guilty (it shouldn't). He is not safe walking around and falling, or falling in the house.
He has gotten mad at life which is not fun for you. If he ends up in the hospital, ask to talk to the social worker about transferring him from hospital to a care home or step down hospital, not sending him home. Are there any non-profits where you live that help seniors because if there are, one of them might be able to guide you better.
Would he use a walker? Second choice is a collator but they are not as safe.
