i've received heavy duty psychotherapy for my own advice giving/seeking compulsions, so i always feel like a recovering alcoholic reaching for a liquor bottle when i approach advice circles, but sharing strictly personal experience is a horse of a different color.
my own anxiety management begins and ends with loving, compassionate radical acceptance. anxiety is not my enemy. i work to train/use it effectively rather than continually berating myself for having abnormally high anxiety levels. i is what i is and i ain't what i ain't.
the anxiety management tools i use in addition to radical acceptance are more numerous than i care to type just now. they are more than a mere human can absorb in a single sitting, so i might as well give into my laziness.
perhaps my most used coping technique is peer support such as what i find right here in this very forum. writing out my anxieties of the day helps me focus and find the tools i need to get through any given round, as needed.
i hope this forum serves you as well as it has served me. welcome aboard. i hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
