Prayers in progress. . . My "Not Working" domestic status has never felt like harder work. For sure, it is "Not Working" more than ever. I gotta try to stabilize Robocop on the housewife not-working-plan. Where are my flowers and bon bons, Honey Bunch? I'm feeling an extra need for my not working benefits. Not Working was far less work when middle management stayed behind the corporate security desk.
I had to work from home one day last week before my bosses decided that I was in the "essential" category and told me to go back to the office.
I definitely feel your pain on having difficulty getting work done. I felt the same way that day. I just could not get my brain into "work" mode.
I second what Girl in Calif. said. If at some point I'm told to work from home again, I would have to treat it just like I'm going to the office.
I might even go as far as to get dressed in work clothes, decaf coffee into the same work mug - basically the whole morning routine. Then I would have to carve out some kind of "office" space and do the same office routine as I would normally do.
I would also have to ship the kids off to the grandparents because that day I had to watch them and try to "work." Well, that didn't go too well.
Hope it works out for you and it will only be temporary.
I think the information already shared on this site is profound. I have always liked working at home so it is difficult for me to relate. It takes humility to accept this premise but it will develop character and character builds hope, and hope does not disappoint us (Romans 5:4-5).
@Sunnierdays, I'm glad you are back into the swing of things at work. I normally have so much to do on any given day,so I've lost days of work. Now I'm worried about how I'm going to catch up.
