Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Today has barely even started and I'm already feeling awful. My stomach problems seem to be flaring up (Im not even sure what the problem is so idk if I can say it's flaring but it's much worse than usual) and I feel so naseuas, weak, and anxious. When I woke up this morning I had a hard time keeping myself awake like I could barely keep my eyes open it felt like I was falling asleep but somehow still being awake. I still have that feeling but it's lessened a little. I only was able to eat a couple bites of food before it got really bad. I've already crapped 4 times and only been awake 3 hours. That might be kinda gross for some but I'm so used to talking about poop because it kinda takes over my life when my stomach acts up. Anyway we have family over now and they're leaving today but I'm pretty sure they're leaving in the afternoon and I might be left with my sister's dog to take care of for the day and I have no idea how that's gonna work. I'm probably gonna have to ask for help taking my dog out as it is. So today is just gonna be an anxious day alone on my bed with a barf bucket hoping I don't have to use it. If anyone has any well wishes or tips for stopping really bad naseua I'd love to hear them.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
My stomach is the first place I feel my anxiety. The loose and frequent bowel movements tell me ^it^ is out of control. I am a big believer in The Holy Shit. As long as that comes out in one solid log, I know I am still ahead of the woes it can escalate to.
From what you are describing here, I would resist the reflex to crawl back into bed and give in to the pain. My tendency to clench my gut muscles is a huge factor in the sum total. Gentle stretches and/or walking ease the tight spots. I also make myself nibble, even if I can't eat normal portions. An empty stomach escalates the stomach acid and bowel clenching.
Taking care of your sister's dog for the day can be a good thing, if you let it. I believe my dog knows things my human senses are not sensitive enough to pick up on. In addition, the natural empathy of dogs grounds me immeasurably. Dogs are natural and optimistic guides through the trials of civilized life. They have much they can teach us, if we are humble enough to listen.
But that is me and I am a multiply certified nutjob. Willing to recertify for anyone willing to pick up the tab.
Gentle support while you sort your own unique case. Easy does it, Frog. Be gentle with yourself and patient with the process.
Do try to keep alittle something in your stomach. I think it will help calm your stomach. And will help with the nausea. And yes go take the dog out. It will be good for you and him to get some fresh air. I too have a dog and she knows when I'm not feeling my best. She will lay with me and gives me kisses. Animals are wonderful. They give you so much unconditional love and are always happy to see you and just want to be there for you and with you. Have a great day! Feel better. Italianmomma
Listen to your dog. I sure wish I could speak their language better.
A fun little book you might enjoy is, "Dogs Who Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home" by Rupert Sheldrake. This study takes a wandering look at just how deep the dog/owner bond runs.
ginger helps nausea-if the nausea is from anxiety-then try to do a meditation...or listen to some relaxation music on youtube until it passes.
immodium will take care of the runs.
feel better!
