Family members make notoriously bad therapists, even when they are fully qualified to therapute Jane and John Q Public. Their emotional involvement doesn't allow for the objectivity it takes to sort through psychoweirds.
I get far better results from carrying my psychotherapy needs to my psychotherapy network and sorting my problems among people who have an insider view of those issues. DS is one of the nodes on my psychotherapy network. I hope it serves you as well as it serves me.

When it comes to anxiety, once you are aware that the other person's perspective is not understanding, remove the 'anxiety' from your response for your well-being. You are responsible for what you say, do, react, and respond.
You are NOT responsible for what others do, say, react, and respond. Sometimes, when their usual response no longer fits, it gets worse. That's when you walk away, keeping your well-being first.

If so I have the same problem. Most of the time they will never truly understand but there are ways to communicate your feelings to help them try.
I like writing/typing out my feelings as it's easier for me. Then I send it as a message. Maybe that would help? Sitting down and talking is hard for me and I know it's hard for other people too so if that is your problem maybe you could try writing it out to them.
