Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Today marks the completion of the first week of maskite school for my two elder foster charges. Pre-K and 2nd grade. They are not required to wear masks, but everyone over 10 years of age is masked to compliance. I find myself boiling in anxious conjecture that the school will close and the five of us will be returned to the lawful isolation of Coronaville. I be working like a beaten crazy bitch wolf at sending the children off to school with positive, can do attitudes. Putting on my game face feels like allot more work than it was during my first parenting career back in the 80's and 90's. I reckon today's challenges always feel more challenging than yesteryear's challenges.
Simultaneously, we just passed the first anniversay of the children's protective custody shift to our care here on the farm and we are approaching the first anniversary of the fatal traffic accident which took Mommy and Daddy from us.
I feel blinded by the lights of a head on collision between actual loss gone by and the promise of future loss.
Processing. . .
Prayers and support needed.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I do wish to take umbrage at the line "lawful isolation of Coronaville". These mask mandates are hardly legal and shows serious overreach by overzealous unelected bureaucrats
What future loss do you fear? Your kids are at a greater danger of a shark attack than dying of Covid. So I am at a loss on your future loss
You made it through the first week of school together.
The changes in the way school works, you made it through.
That feeling of loss will come on as strong as it has before, you are making your way through the grief while functioning in daily living activities.
Kudos for your excellent work in taking care of you and the little ones!
There doesn't seem to be allot of safe names for ^it^ in Coronaville.. No wonder ^it^ is so hard to talk about.
I wonder if I should give the losses of the Corona isolation an anniversary date as well. 6 months since the loss loads of Coronaville. Nearly half the lifetime of our socially marginalized grandfamily.
The first week went down without a hitch we know of and my sources say there are no new local closures have been announced. Yet.
Prayers in progress. . .
