General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

So i've been good with the fears lately. And after a whole week of constipation related to hormones/stress (I had just gotten off my period and that really messes up my movements) I finally pooed the other day. It was uncomfortable and hard but i got it out, I was scared for a while that i didn't get it all out and my bum was so sore that i felt like if i had to go again it would be the worst feeling in the world. I didn't go again, This was the other night.. I was great when the bum pain lessened, i was laughing and having fun and eating great. I think i ate too much though lol.. Anyway the next morning i woke up feeling kind of anxious because i was hungry and i guess my mind mistakes hunger pains for bowel movement cramps/pains and i get that reaction. I was kind of afraid of eating a certain thing so i decided to eat noodles instead and watched some tv with my family.. I didn't feel really afraid, i was better by then.. by the time we were done i was kind of scared that i was going to have a "bad bowel movement" if you know what i mean Lol.. i cleaned the bathroom, i went to my friends house and the entire time i was there (an hour and a half) i didn't feel anxiety at all, not even a little bit.. Okay well maybe a little bit but i didn't freak.. When i got home i took a small nap and then went back over to my friends house to help her with her christmas tree... when i got back home at 8:30 i made my dinner and for the rest of the night i kind of felt like my stomach was hurting or gassy or like i had to go. and that would reinforce my fears about having diarrhea again.. I didn't have to go last night, But i woke up today and now i'm feeling the exact same things i felt like weeks ago when it was still pretty bad.
Am i making any progress at all or am i going to fall back into the same pattern of stressing out so much that i give myself diarrhea and then stressing out about that so much that i give myself constipation? I Know that IBS can be both but i don't believe i have it just because i have symptoms of it weeks apart. I'm actually really worried about this, what if i go through this all the time? What if i can't stop diarrhea-ing and then getting constipated and then fearing the worst.
I was doing so well but now my stomach is back to gassy cramps and i'm back to fearing what that means.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Now, bowel movements are a natural bodily function. They ebb and flow like the tide does, following the cycle of the moon. Your body does the same with the monthly cycle. In other words, you anticipate the monthly cycle, so journal your events.
Distract yourself from the issue and hopefully that gets you back in sync again.
Hope this helps.
