Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So, not sure where to begin ...
I guess when everything got turned upside down
Its been 2 year since i been diagnosed with an inflammatory disease.
Took me bout 8 months to come to terms with it, however with that life turning event came depression, stress and anxiety.
I have struggled since, watched my whole world flip upside down. I was off on medical leave from a job i enjoyed for half a year,
then from pressure from family and uncertainty i returned to work pre-maturely. I was on an off medical leave the next year.
Then last november, on top of everything; was diagnosed with two sleep apnea disorders; Obstructive and Central.
Been struggling with the ordeal, and feel of being cornered.
My eyes were openned to the world of invisble disorders, and my eyes were openned on how outsiders look at anyone who has any.
Only been recently told by my doctor, he was surprised i didnt know i had anxiety - he never mentioned it before, and to be honest
I didnt know what it was meant for someone to have anxiety. It was always, I have depression, and have taken the whole event far worse
then other cases he has had. I care little for my doctor, i would change, however where i am, i have limited choices.
I been experiencing leg ache, tingling in the feet, and heart palpitations and well severe fatigue still.
Im sure theres other symptoms, which i havent connected the dots to it all.
I been trying to dig myself out of the hole that i landed in 2 years ago, and feel like im being pushed into a corner from work.
Dealing with issues from some family members, that just dont understand whats going on. Saying things like just push it aside and keep
on trucking - like its that simple. I dont know what to expect from one day to the next, how i feel is effecting my work and life.
Has taken me awhile to figure this out, i cant solve this on my own, and i need guidance and support.
So here i am trying new ways on getting them both. I need to try to fix this, i been slowly going downhill, and having a hard
time climbing back up.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Taking the first step in writing it out is important, and you've done that.
Set up a daily "to do" list and mark off everything you do. Write in a private daily journal. Give yourself positive moments.
Your doctor is helping you. He told you when you were ready to listen to the diagnosis of anxiety.
Anxiety is natural. It is a part of you.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
I love birds of prey. I live on a farm that I dream of repurposing as "The Red Hawk Cafe." North America's birds of prey are in serious trouble and I would love to contribute to basic well-being. Everybody's gotta eat and feed the younguns. . .
Getting back on topic. . .
I'm a lifelong sufferer of anxiety, complete with allot of the physical side effects you listed, and have built quite allot of skill with my anxiety management tools. Gentle acceptance that I cannot manage this condition alone might be the most important of my anxiety management tools. Nor can I expect an outsider --not even the love of my life-- to understand the inner workings of this condition. I need an entire therapy support network to be there for me to help me sort the germ from the chaff of my ever-morphing anxiety.
DS is one of the nodes on my therapy support network. I hope it serves you as well as it has served me. Welcome aboard. I hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
