Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Don't forget that anxiety is a hard-wired human emotion. It's tied to our survival instincts, so of course we'll deal with it for as long as we're still surviving. What I shoot for is using my anxiety the way nature intended.
It is just ONE of several things I do to stay healthy which deals with stress and disease.
I have found that lifestyle changes are absolutely necessary to gain and maintain a healthy life.
Diet (no fast food/GMO's/pre packaged food/and other toxins added to food) drinking plenty of water, exercise, and deep sleep.......and most importantly.....turning off the news and other negative media. Staying away or limiting time with negative peeps all contribute to a better and happier life.
I found out that exercise alone or only one change will make anxiety go away completely. However, all the above mentioned WILL eliminate anxiety.
I also make sure all 81 minerals and vitamins need to be in balance to ensure optimal performance.
I am detoxing from years of meds and horrible lifestyle choices in food, relationships, and stored emotions all manifested into anxiety and other undesirable health issues.
The detoxing has taken time by making permanent lifestyle changes and learning to love and respect myself, but the rewards are starting to pay off.
It takes work and a lot of patience, but it beats dealing with anxiety 24/7.
It is a choice to deal with anxiety head on as it is a part of life, but should not have the "on" switch stuck on indefinitely.
Your brain created the anxiety to cope with life, but in an unhealthy way. The brain is a very powerful organ and gives orders to the nervous system which created your anxiety, BUT, it can banish it as well.
Look up neuro plasticity and that will guide you to banishing it.
I'm not gonna say it is easy, but what have you got to lose? What else are you going to do with all the time you agonize over the debilitating symptoms your brain makes up to keep you in prison of anxiety. Trust me.....I was there in anxiety prison for 4 decades, but am finally free.
I can't state enough that you need ALL the different lifestyle changes to rid yourself of anxiety........and all diseases.
I say try it for a month (change of diet (eat mostly fresh veggies and fruits), drink plenty of fresh water, exercise, and sleep (give into the insomnia.....you will eventually sleep).....stay away from negative media of all kinds.......and stay away or limit your time from negative peeps), if you don't feel better......then stop the regimen and find something else.
I know change is hard and it is almost impossible to stay away from ALL negative ppl due to work and family obligations, so do the best you can. If someone is being negative......walk away (this is easier in a social situation).
I have had to drop some clients AND family members as they did not respect my boundaries. It was hard, but I feel soooo much better......no drama is wonderful :)
Oh well.....take what resonates and leave the rest. No judgement from me....just some suggestions that are working for me.
Wishing you the best and a happy, healthy life!
I meant to say that "I found out that exercise alone or one change will NOT make anxiety go away completely."
You NEED to incorporate ALL the lifestyle changes and do it indefinitely.
This is a must for a healthy life......even if you don't suffer from anxiety.
They put me on allll kinds of meds that did nothing but made me sicker.
I did change my diet and got the diabetes under control. However, becuz of insurance crapola, I had to keep changing doctors and they never would take me off the damn medicine even though my blood work showed I was at pre diabetic levels.
I cut the carbs (NO white bread :( no white rice, no pasta, and white flour).
It was really hard becuz I REALLY love pizza and bread, butter......all the bad carbs. However, I found a host of really awesome wheat bread foods, and other foods (I wasn't much into veggies and pickier about fruit).
I did still eat red meat and chicken (no fish....yuck....lol), but was starting to get tired of it.
No fried foods.
That was the past 4 years, but the medicines were starting to wear on my body and I was almost in a wheelchair at 57 years old last year and I started looking for alternative ways to deal with my health.
I found the coolest health food store a few miles away from me and the owner has been working with me to change from my meds and have successfully changed to vegan/gluten free vitamins and gut improvement supplements. I also found a salt mine near me and I go there for treatment in detoxing and I feel terrific!!!!
I have lost well over 100 pounds and have kept it off for over 4 years.
I look like I'm in my 40's at yet I am 58 (proud of it).
I meditate and listen to positive messages/music on youtube while doing my stretches (I had pinched nerves, bad back, bad feet and hands).
I dropped my mom recently becuz she has been abusing me for 57 years and I finally had had enough. I have dropped other relatives and clients becuz of poor and abusive treatment and it is the best decision I have ever made......besides taking control of my health becuz the doctors weren't doing such a great job.
Back to diet.
I went vegetarian 2 months ago but that is just me as my body started rejecting red meat. I still eat eggs and have broken down a few times to eat a few bites of chicken when I was out with friends at a restaurant, but it didn't sit well :(
I also got gall bladder issues (long story) and opted out of surgery as it was just at the beginning stages. I use bile salts and digestive enzymes (I alternate them) and that is working well for me.
I do need protein, so I made my own peanut butter and eat almonds and walnuts.
I eat pickles or sauerkraut at least once a day to balance the good bacteria in my gut.
I do eat my veggies (spinach, broccoli, carrots, peas, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and asparagus are my favorites). I saute them in olive oil and chopped garlic and Himalayan salt.
I eat a red apple every day (it is excellent for lowering cholesterol and over all health).
I eat a lot of eggplant with a red sauce.
I stay away from anything that has high fructose syrup, corn syrup, corn oil, veggie oil, sunflower oil, saffron oil, MSG, artificial sweeteners of any kind,
All processed food and fast food is filled with these neuro toxins which attack our nervous system....hence anxiety and a host of other health issues.
I figure if I hand over my health to doctors who are on overload with the masses of ppl, then they will control my health with meds (not good.....no cure.....just maintain the symptoms).
I have watched tooooo many ppl die needlessly becuz it is easier to pop a pill then make healthy lifestyle changes. I spent more time sitting in doctor offices in years past and spent butt loads of money to ppl who didn't even know me or have the time to get to know me and my life......so I took back my life and voila......better :)
I never thought in a million years I could make the change, but I made a game out of it and LOVE cooking fast easy meals for myself.
At least I know what is in my food as the ingredients are just a few simple things thrown together and the challenge is kinda fun!
PPL think that eating healthy and healthy supplements are too expensive, but the doctor bills, hospital bills, and insurance premiums are 10 times more expensive.
My calculations come to a $3,000 savings by taking a discount health program and eating healthier and taking supplements.
That's a pretty good deal!
I drink 1 cup of coffee with real cream and sugar in the morning and water the rest of the day :)
Sometimes I drink a cup of hot green tea after dinner.
I hate tap water......too much fluoride and chlorine.....yuck!!!!
Yes, I use exercise to manage my anxiety, and it's worked wonders! Would definitely recommendx
Much love <3
