Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hey all, I've been on here for awhile and I posted a few times. I had a bad experience with work...I was falsely accused of sexual harrasment & retaliated against because I fought for the NJEA ( union for new jersey teachers). I don't regret fighting for my rights and the rights of teachers. I was placed to teach another grade level and was miserable. It was hell. Basically, I wound up resigning two weeks ago since I was told I was going to be fired shortly. I suffer from panic and anxiety as it is so this made me worse. I see a therapist but she's not too helpful. I am seeing a new pyschiatrist and he is moving me up to 20 celexa and signed me up for medical marijuana. I'm hoping this helps as I've been suffering quite a bit. Has anyone tried medical marijuana for anxiety? Also, any words of encouragement would be helpful, I'm so lonely.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
The change to another grade was difficult. Tune into your feelings, express them safely, and allow your self time to grieve for the losses connected to this experience.
One of the best gifts we give ourselves is accepting that anxiety is natural, and we can find a balance with it.
Keep focusing on the positives that help you, and if something is not working, look at it from a different view.
Best wishes.
