Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
For years now, worse when under Stress, Tension, Conflict etc
which is also a constant visitor of mine :(
Even my Xanax doesn't help anymore now.
I'm going to try faithful777's advice, some relaxation with God at night and in the morning. I don't feel so alone now that no that others deal with it also.
Now, depression ... depending on the level, this can affect my well being. I get a tough time being in control: mind; body & soul.
You noted a point of saying that you got stuff on your mind. Perhaps .. mind over matter, as they say. Maybe, you need to give your mind a break or treat. Be good to yourself. Take care. lol
Mine is waking at 3 or 4 am and NOT being
able to lay there and try to go back to sleep so
I take Dr Clare Weekes advice
I get up, make some coffee and listen to music while

It is brain chemistry...I guess our body is just programmed to either not make enough of the good stuff or uses it up too fast!
I am hopeful that all the other stuff we do will help increase the good stuff in our brains. Meditation, better sleep, hypnosis tapes, nutrional foods, exercise, etc.
If we don't have hope...what do we have? This anxiety is really frustrating--to us and to those who love us.
Typically doctors focus on an SSRI antidepressant (and sometimes an adjuct of an atypical "anti-psychotic" - don't let the name scare you, it just happens to also alleviate some symptoms of schizophrenia). Yet depression still has a relatively cure rate. typically only from mild to moderate improvement. Fatigue and body pain are symptoms of some forms of depression, and ironically, anxiety can also cause fatigue and indecision because the anxiety uses up the energy your body could be using for constructive living. Anxiety also discourages us from taking action for fear of the consequences as we suffer from catastrophic thinking.
My pharmacological coping mechanism is to take my xanax as soon as my alarm goes of, so within 30 to 60 minutes my apprehension and anxiety no longer paralyzes me.
Be sure to talk to your doctor about this strategy and you may want to undergo a sleep study, as lack of refreshing sleep can actually worsen or cause physical symptoms identical to anxiety and even panic attacks. Good luck, and keep looking for better solutions. Yo probably won't turn into the happiest person in the world, but with research, questions, and experimentation (under supervision) you should see steady progress (as in 2 steps forward, 1 back, 2 forward, 1 back, etc.). And THAT is PROGRESS :-D
so many of you with the same problem, the one i used to have, sometimes still do.
What i do is this, i sit down take my meds and relax and i tell myself the reason this happens is because i am special, because my emotional responses are tuned to the max and then some and because i can see and feel the world a different way to everyone else that doesnt have anxiety.
However, having anxiety gives me all this, all this ability that others that dont have it do not.....hmnnn maybe its not so bad, because if i couldnt see the world the way i do then maybe i wouldnt be me and i kinda like me
