Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm right there with you! Mornings are bad for my anxiety. As the day goes on I tend to feel better, but mornings are defintely the worst. I think it's because as the day goes on, I do self-talk and make myself feel better, but when I wake up in the morning everything is fresh. I sometimes take a Xanax to stop the panic, but I don't really like doing that b/c it tends to make me sleepy. I would be very interested in any tips and advice you receive. Hang in there!
My anxiety went from agoraphobia to pretty much non-existant, but it took alot of work and self-dedication. You have to be really honest with yourself, and trust yourself. There are so many things that go around us all the time that we try to control and can't, and sometimes you just have to realize that you do the best you can in any given situation, and that has to be enough.
As far as wanting to wake up.... you need to find a reason to. Having any sort of interest, hobby or goal will give you something to work for and work towards... until you can see yourself in a more positive light that you are will to do it for just you.
My tips would be to excercise, eat healthy, try and plan your day, (i know this can create anxiety but just do one thing), get out the house, see your friends, family as much as possible to keep your realities as much in check as possible and finally, take care,x
Serotonin, melatonin, GABA, etc.
Whatever is supposed to help us wake up is either low or slow released...and the same with the one to put us to sleep at night.
i read about a religion. some eastern name that i don't recall.
it is very simple. here's how it works:
every day, first thing in the morning, get comfortable and for one hour merely let God love you.
every night, before bed, for one half hour, let go of everything that happened during the day.
for me, i am in the process of moving out of state. when i get there, i will be trying this on for size.
