Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
hello everyone - I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to reach for advice and i guess get my story off my chest. I had a health problem back in September. Basically my potassium was too low because of the blood pressure medicine I was taking. I had a horrible episode at work that I felt like I was dying. They called the ambulance and took me to the ER, they kept me there over night. After that I keep having these panic attacks because of what i went through. I ended up in the ER around 8 times thinking I was dying. In one of the ER visits they saw a lymph node in my lung and they told me to follow up with a doctor. I have my first visit this coming Tuesday and I have anxiety and I’m depressed since then. I really don’t know how to deal with these feelings. I’m scare and overwhelmed by everything that is happening to me... I hope someone can give me some advice on how to deal with this anxiety so I can start feeling a little better... thank you for reading this and i wish everyone good luck.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I've dealt with anxiety for all of my 66 years and am still routinely scared and whelmed by the symptoms. The good news is that the symptoms seldom surprise me any more and I have picked up tons of anxiety management tools to help me cope.
You just used one of my front line anxiety management tools in making this post. Getting my anxiety of the day into words and sharing those words within my therapy support network helps me get a handle on where to go from here.
How 'bout it? Did making this post help any? If not, I hope you will keep trying. Sharing the load and knowing you are not alone can help allot.
Welcome aboard. I hope you find stabilizing companionship here. You are not alone.

You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
With anxiety, it's natural and it's a part of us.
When you have a health scare, and you keep on riding that roller coaster, it's increasing in more thoughts, feelings, emotions, and words.
Stop, pause, breathe. You're taking steps to find out what is happening, and you're aware that you are having active anxiety.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
