Cognitive therapy will help you see that the negative thinking patterns are continuing your panic and anxiety. Instead of saying "what if ?" say "so what!"

Nervous Exhaustion or Neurasthenia is no longer an official diagnostic category in Western medicine. It is still used in China and Japan. They now tend to lump Nervous Exhaustion in with other things, often Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, though I think it belongs with stress and anxiety attacks. When I first mentioned my symptoms to my shrink she had no idea what I had. So don't be surprised if that happens. You might do some reading on it NE and its affects on the adrenal glands. They say B complex and other herbs can be useful, but haven't worked for me.
I actually have it today, slept so long like I was on drugs. The reason for it probably because I had a major car problem, too much to fix and had to pay a lot to have it towed back to the rural area where I live. Anxiety no one to call, no help, too much other stuff, it all adds up and the NE is the result.

I don't know if you have the same problem or not, but the simple act of realizing that some of the people who were closest to me were always onto me about things.
They for some reason needed to help control my life. Once I took back over the reins my anxiety started getting better.
For some reason these individuals needed for me to be submissive and since I never wanted to rock the boat I went along with it.
