Coping Mechanisms

I won't add my personal yaddahs to the current floods of anxiety and isolation blahs dominating the digital highways. Suffice it to say that the vast majority of the tools in my psychotherapy toolbox have been blown out of the water by the masked phantoms outside my door. Isolation **used to be** a bad thing when I was assembling that psychotherapy toolbox. 


Anybody have any psychotherapy tools which are still working for them in The New World Order? Radical acceptance is my current experiment but the ^it^ I am accepting keeps spiraling into apocolyptic scenarios.


Anybody? Reality checks needed. Are real-time emergency services available? I may short-circuit on the next creative use of social media. The 3 young orphans in my care are being monitored by 3 counties and 2 departments of CPS workers who have us massively over-dosed on creative use of social media.

I don't, sorry. I have no little crumb-crunchers which would yield a whole different problem set than what I am currently dealing with.

What we added to isolation to help move it in a better direction for us is imagination and outside play.

Or if the weather means inside, we put a sheet on the table and make a "tent" to play.

I am struggling too Arfie. But thank goodness I have Blue. I have to say the mind numbing information on the news when I wake to see another adult human is warping me a bit but I do have the luck to be able to reach out to friends and family. If not all the time but some of the time.

Yea, the farm potentials are beginning to feel like a shared lifeline for all five of us. It even feels potentially luxurious that we no longer have to compete with academia for developing those potentials. The 6 year old is looking like a natural farmer.

For certain, it is not safe to expose children to the masked phantoms and their fearful eyes. The four year old is still having nightmares from the last time I took her off farm. Me too. . . The children no longer ask about the outside world. Corona has crowned it all.

A farm would be a good place to wait out the quarantine. Sunshine and Exercise.

That is, indeed, a major consolation for me. Is it a potential silver lining that the ghoulish masked phantoms who have taken over the world give the children greater motivation to be interested in the land and nature? The "Creative Use of Social Media" has even made etoys far less interesting to them.

I agree the best medicine in all of this is reaching out to all the folks you know and lending support however it is needed ,,,the best therapy in the world is helping and listening to someone else ,,,,, there is an important lesson here,,,,

Yeah I also think about the desperately social telling the people who ain’t that there’s something wrong with us, when maybe it should just be viva la difference. You’re doing fine as far as I can tell from thousands of miles away and in a better position than us trapped in a rural or semi rural life.

    I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying.  I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there.  I think that I will start writing in it again.  It's so therapeutic.
