i just looked up on line and it did say it can be used for anxiety,deppression and physcriatic disorders.
I looked it up under gabapentin and anxiety.

I came into my psychiatrists office a total mess because of some personal and family issues. I was having a melt down. I also have had an anxiety problem for most of my adult life. He put me on gabapentin and it has worked great for me. It can knock you out and cause dizziness and forgetfulness, so it isn't for everyone, but it has really helped me. I also take 1 mg of Klonopin a day.

I've been using it for years due to afterefffects from shingles. It calms the nerve endings in my face and makes quite a difference. So it must have multiple uses. I have no side effects with a low dose, but had to split up my dose when I was up to 900 mg. I am now on 100 mg.

Yes, I was given that drug in addition to zolof when I was hospitalized. I continued it for awhile but my new Dr. from a year ago thought less is more for me. I do think it is worth trying. Everyone's chemistry is different...it certainly didn't have major side-effects for me when I took it.

Im just starting on it today. Hoope it helps with my pain. Also on 200mg zoloft

i've been on it now for about 2 weeks and it has actually helped with my anxiety and also some numbness in my hand. I take 300 mg per day and was very skeptical about taking it at first because so many drugs do nothing to help anxiety. Overall, I think its a good med.

Yes, I am recently back on Gabapentin for nerve pain. Was in a car accident which really messed up my neck. I was put on huge doses of Gabapentin and it really helped! That was years ago and been on it ever since but recently I went through severe hives for 6 months and my doctor took me off Gaba and everything else I was on to see if it was med related...anyway it got so I couldn't move and Im just now able to get back on it...It is a LIFE SAVER for me. The side effects are kinda hard to deal with (for me). Blurry vision and kinda loopy...but I really love this medicine otherwise. I really wish you good luck with it! I am on gabapentin and zoloft and between the two, have found improvement.
