Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I have been suffering with crying spells too in the early morning and they have got to stop. Some other techniques I have found useful is the Emotional Freedom technique..called EFT Go to the webpage www.tapping.com and follow along with the first video that you see on the top of that page. see if that helps..I find it did help and I still tap on the meridian points when I need a little extra calming . also try www.anxietyslayer.com...
Some good help there as well.
I have General anxiety disorder and also have hypothyroidism. I know I am not being optimally treated with synthroid only medication but the doctor thinks I am on the right dose based on my blood tests..It is hard to treat effectively and I have had this since 1975..
I hope this helps you a bit..Also I have read that taking two teaspoons of blackstrap molasses every day helps not only with stress but also helps with another condition that I have..namely hemorrhoids..So far I have noticed great help from this approach. I also have clonozapam from the doctor when anxiety gets overwhelming..I hate using those pills but I carry them with me just in case whereever I go.
Let me know if the peanut butter on crackers idea works for you..
I try just about anything to stop the anxiety in the early morning upon waking up..
The only thing is you can't stay that way forever, so you will eventually settle. Just try to absolutely sensorily deprive yourself whenever you can. When you're not at work - just go to bed. do as little as you can interactive with other people till the overfull bucket has had time to leak some stuff out and give you room inside yourself for more experiences.
Have a great day!
Have a good day!
With anxiety, it's natural, so when it hits, arrives, pounds, or whatever sensation it provides you with, make sure you get hydrated and it will help it disappear naturally.
For first in morning, if you drink something the night before, that might help ease the symptoms, plus having a cup of liquid next to you to sip on first thing in morning will also help.
You're not alone.
Thanks for your support
Once your get your sleep pattern out of whack it is very hard to get it back into proper rhythm When I get very tired lately through the day, I am not able to endure any stress whatsoever..
I have to get more sleep by going to bed earlier. Once the sun comes up I can't sleep anymore and I suffer all through the day.
It is so great to have friends who also understand this condition. Hopefully together we can figure out what helps us the best and live a much happier and calmer existence in the days ahead.
I think going to bed at the same time and going to bed at the same time will help.
I will try the blackstrap molasses, pb and cracker, extra water and sensorial deprivation.
What is Ativan? I am using Xanax when I am really, really anxious.
Why does this happen?
Thank you.
My advice would just be to find some way to change up the morning routine a little bit to make something positive occur first thing.
Maybe as soon as you wake up, don't give yourself time to dwell...just start doing something new like putting a certain TV show on, or making a cup of Tea and looking out the window or just whatever is different than what you are doing now. But whatever you do....don't dwell on how bad you are feeling because that just feeds the worry habit.
Sorry you are going through this.
Ativan is the same as Xanax they are benzos is not that strong like Xanax but do the same thing calming your anxiety.
