Hello, I am new here and need help. I am on effexor 225mg and trazodone for sleep when I need it. The past couple of days I am experiencing what I think are anxiety attacks. I feel jittery, the need to Pace around, the overwhelming need to cry and just feeling like I am coming out of my skin. Please tell me I am not crazy and that this feeling will end. How do I stop it and what can I do to change my mindset?

Welcome to the anxiety board at DS.
you description fits my own anxiety attacks. in its natural form, anxiety often warns me of real and present danger --such as dehydration, insufficient exercise, etc. when i start jittering, i start with a physical inventory. have i eaten well? am i drinking enough water? etc., etc. when the cause is physical, my mindset typically resets after i address the physical need.
then we get to the psychotic anxiety. . . for those anxiety attacks i look for safe places to vent and sort. this very forum is one of the places i come to do that. i hope it serves you as well as it has served me.
welcome aboard.
