Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Knowing the triggers is the easy part finding a way to fix them is the difficult part.
I guess for me, anxiety often feels like it’s more right under the surface, a slow, simmering burn.
I don’t have daily triggers just more situational triggers. Like COVID for instance... my anxiety has ticked up quite a bit during this time like so many people. I’m handling it fairly well but I just have noticed over the last couple of months the cracks are starting to show. So I’m just finding ways to trick myself and redirect my thoughts so I don’t get stuck in that too long.
I'm glad you are able to enjoy doing everything you want. Staying in the present is very important. And with anxiety that can be hard to do. Sometimes we just have to go through it. It too shall pass. That's kinda of how I look at it.
I think everyone right now is feeling the effects of the COVID. That's totally normal. Try to distract yourself from thinking about it. A good way is redirecting your thoughts and feelings. Journaling will help. Don't let it consume too much of your day. There's nothing that we can do but ride it out. Thanks for your comment. Stay safe. Italianmomma4ever
Hopefully soon there will be a vaccine coming.
So that will relieve a lot of people's anxiety.
Glad to see you back on the scene, missed ya! Hope your New Year is going well, most of all keeping well and safe and enjoying your food as i know you love to Mange LOL.
Very good questions as usual. For me when my Anxiety is high it makes doing things a challenge, with fear and anticipation of something bad is going to happen, which in the end usually doesn't happen the way you think.
For me is being able to know what my triggers are and then working on calming your mind, which in turn calms your body, so both don't go into a tail spin.
Anything for me that i don't look forward doing for the day, will trigger my Anxiety, but again trying to keep positive thoughts, rather then negative helps with the Anxiety. The mind controls so much of how our daily lives will evolve.
Hope your having a pleasant and peaceful day and just chilin.
Stooges.
When my anxiety is at its worse it makes the littlest things like such a challenge. And yes I get those feelings that something is wrong or bad is gonna happen and it doesn't. Ugh.
Knowing your triggers is key so you can work on calming your mind which in the long run calm your anxiety.
Staying positive helps.
Thanks for liking my questions. And thanks for your comments. Italianmomma4ever
Yes staying safe.
And just trying to eat well.
That's my New Years Resolution.
It's not always easy. Lol
Thanks Stooges.
My police record has cleaned up considerable since I started **letting** anxiety stop me from doing things. 'Twas a time where I let that high power voltage line push me wherever it damn well pleased. The local constabulary knew my dog by name in those days.
There are most definitely times where nothing is the best thing I can do. Ever try to do nothing with a high power voltage line hopping and plopping through your system?
My triggers vary too much for listing, especially here in the new normal of Coronaville.
Yikes! That sounds painful.
Sometimes not doing anything is probably the best thing you can do.
Sorry about your triggers. At least you know what they are. Just try to do the best you can to get through them. That's all we can do. Thank you for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
I wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year!!!!!
I pray 2021 gets better for all of us.
God bless.
Happy New Year!!!!
Let's pray it's a good 2021 filled with hope and happiness.
Good question!
I use anxiety ... it can be exactly as Arfie describes it ... and you can crawl through the chaos it provides afterwards ... or you use it to remain calm and clear headed through breathing ... and it is my best buddy.
Here's to the balance that works! and giving anxiety the space it needs to be healthy for you.
Glad your back in the saddle again and keeping safe, well and busy, which are all good things.
Yes trying to eat healthy is a good New Years resolution but not always easy, especially when someone loves to eat and always has a good appetite and loves to Mange on French bread , Rib eye steaks, Yummy burgers and chocolate cream pie LOL
Keeping positive and focused, not letting your mind over think and anticipate the worse, is good for overall good mental and physical health.
Your welcome for my liking your post and commenting, always enjoy what you have to say and for your input as well.
Bon Appetite!

I'm trying to comment back but it won't go through.
I like to stay calm as I'm going through it.
Deep breathing helps a lot. And distracting myself also does the trick. I don't know if it could ever be my best buddy. But if I have to have a buddy like that, then I just have to know how to keep it in check. I won't let anxiety win. I will challenge it!!!! Wish me luck. Italianmomma4ever
