Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I have tried many many tools and treatments to help with my panic attacks and anxiety. Yesterday I tried a weed edible specifically for anxiety (I got it from a weed dispensary in my area). Oh my word was that the worst thing I could have done! My anxiety has been fairly higher than usual so I decided to try the edible yesterday. I had such an intense panic attack and truly thought I was going to just pass out. Actually, I was hoping I would as to not feel the feeling of being terribly scared! Today I am back to my fairly high level of anxiety. I am practicing being kind to myself, staying hydrated, and eating well. Hoping this passes or 'floats along" as my therapist says. Has any one had this type of reaction from cannabis? Also, any words of encouragement to get me along is always appreciated!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.
It's effective for some forms of anxiety symptoms, other symptoms often burst to the surface, thus bringing on active anxiety-if you're not prepared for it, it can really throw you for a loop or roller coaster loopy loop as it was described to me.
Sounds like you made it through it, good work!
I'll second the notion from your therapist to let it flow along. Let the proverbial water flow right on under the bridge to your effective anxiety management.
Gentle support while you find what DOES work for you.
I’m Med free but I react badly to most pharmaceuticals sadly. Good nutrition and outdoor exercise help a lot. There are a few good herbal things I’ve tried that have helped but they’re not a cure. A quick trick is to put an ice pack on your forehead. You have to rewire your brain in the long run, and yes it takes effort. Good luck. We’re on this journey with you.
