Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I have a lot of medical issues (lupus being one of them) and I've been on prednisone for the last 9 months. It was what literally kept me alive for the first few months this year. Sooo... now I'm officially coming off prednisone. My docs feel I've stabilized enough and have given me a schedule to be off of it by mid-November. Here's the thing. I'm super excited, I don't want to be on any more drugs than I have to. But stopping the drug that has kept me alive for the last 10 months is SCARY! I'm so afraid my body is going to fail me. It doesn't have a good track record.
I'm just terrified something will go wrong! I know my fear doesn't help my body. Stress is never a good thing. But its so hard to trust my body. I'm flipping back and forth from being positive that I can do this, to panic attacks. I wish I didn't have to go through this alone. I just wish I was healthy. I feel like if I was healthy I wouldn't have anxiety. I wish I didn't have to keep a medication schedule. I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want this to work so bad. but I'm freaking out that it won't.
I could use a hug right now. thanks.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Having a medical condition that has flare-ups, and remissions, takes time to accept as your normal. I suggest keeping a journal to help you process your feelings, your thoughts, and keep track of your levels of activities. This gives you control of your thoughts by putting you "in the moment".
Anxiety is natural. It is a part of your well-being, and positive panic attacks are normal. Once you recognize them, you'll find yourself smiling at the sensations, and being comfortable.
Best wishes.
