I am new here but anxiety is not new to me. I had anxiety for the past three years and it has progressively gotten worse. It started out with an anxiety attack on a plane and then I started to have attacks on public transportation. Right now I can't even go outside because it's that bad. I have done a lot of research into how to reduce through nutrition and dietary supplements some which have helped and give me hope. My biggest challenger is the worrying and the negative thinking. I can handle the physical sensations ok. I look forward to talking with you and trying to get through this one way or another.

I have been trying to be very proactive about working on reducing my anxiety but yet I am still not able to leave the house alone. Just going to see my therapist or psychiatrist makes me anxious. I get nervous during the car ride. But while I am there I am able to relax for the most part. Now I have become what I have feared most is becoming a recluse. It's nice to know there are people out there for support.
to baseballmom6 kids make anxiety worse with them depending on you is such a huge responsibility it is hard not to feel anxiety. I have 2 kids and right now my oldest is 12 and she is the cause of a lot of stress for me right now she had a boyfriend, she is always wanting me to drive her everywhere and we live out in the country. Maybe you are having blood sugar drops and need to eat smaller meals every few hours and make sure you have protein with every meal. You could go to the hyperglycemia group on here and see if any of their symptoms sounds like you. Hope you feel better soon.
I am doing the diet so wish me luck :) Alex I am sorry you are still feeling some anxiety when driving, is it the fear of being in public or accidents itself or what? I used to have a huge fear of accidents especially with my kids being in the car. After having seen too many of those in my life. I still have some anxiety over trips and car accidents :-P
rskb3 you may be right, kids bring on a lot of it... why isn't my partner as stressed as me though? lol I went to a church breakfast with ladies this morning and I admit it helped! Maybe more outings for me with the girls will help.
You poor thing though omgosh driving everywhere when you live out of town, maybe stand strong and tell her you are cutting back on how much driving you are doing for her and she needs to hang around the house more often, tell her to tell her friends to start coming out more often, meet in between as far as agreements.
It's difficult to find the right combination that works for you, and it's easier to point out the things that are affecting you that you are aware of. When this happens, try to embrace the good, even if it's just a little thing. The more you find that is pleasant, the better it makes handling those challenges any of us have.
Best wishes!
