Love to you,

I do know that toothpaste is excellent for getting rid of poop smells, especially on skin. The antibacterial properties in it are really amazing and a little bit will do alot. I used to use it after changing diapers on my kids--alittle on your hands and rub.
I used to joke that my signature fragrance was Clorox. :-D
I swear by ODO-BAN.
I hear ya, believe me.. I hear.
I do know that Odo-Ban works on most smells like Jamr41 said.
Good luck.
Hugs........Carolyn
I came here for my adrenilin shot and there it was a post by you on PEE! I thought I must have written it in my sleep!!! It is the main thing I just can't get a grip on and drives me up the wall.!!! As obviously most of you too. Those of you who don't deal with this yet , enjoy your moment!
I just oredered another product from "Harriet Carter" Catalog......"Urine B'gone" Its a spray and comes with a black light stick to check anywhere that it might be but you missed!! This is wht our lives have come too.
Now we are on P-patrol!!!!
just yesterday I was saying to myself ..."Today wasn't too bad!"
Then this AM wake back up to reality....HELLO!
Checked out a DAY CARE everyone tells me I must do something for a break on a regular basis! OK...so checked online made an appt and went! Well we walked in and there were a bunch of old (white haired, etc) ladies sitting around a table.
We stayed for a while to check out , even though I knew this wasn't going to work...thought I am here I shall give it a shot. Well when they started their game I could tell theye were much moore with it than my guy! I don't think any of them had Alz , they were just old and feeble and perhaps had ailments I couldn't detect..but this was not for him. The sad part really was I am thinking they are too old, Ha the joke was on me , yes they were 15 + yrs his senior but they still had their mental faculties!!!! So much for that.
I will have to call Alz or check with my live support group and see where they go. You can't win even when you try. I love him dearly but I am so close to done I think I am going to just get in the car and drive away! Far away!
I went on to a site eldercare.com I think. Anyway, you had to register your name and email and tell them what you are looking for and a phone #. In a short time I got a call back and he told me there was only one daycare in our area suitable. My point is....he told me to be very careful with daycares because some are overrun with just mental patients and of course our guys wouldn't fit in there. I haven't been able to go and check this one out yet but I intend to.
the charge for this one is $38.00 a day with a lunch. check with the Alz organization to see if they can tell you of one suitable in your area.
Good luck. Carolyn
Nok-Out. It is available at nokout.com or amazon has it.
He peed -
In the garage
Off the front porch
In the kitchen trash can
In the kitchen sink
Or.. would pull his pants down and just walk and dribble.
Would take his Depends off and just go in his clothes.
The pee was awful... and poop worse.
I am wishing he would use depends now but he won't he insists on getting up, pulling down his pants and peeing somewhere, even in the hospital he wouldn't use the cath, insisted on getting out of the bed and standing. And with his bandages every bathroom event means a bandage change.
Judy; So this also is "Normal" for this stage of this monster disease. There is that stupid word normal again!!!
I must admit how can I try and find a day care if he is doing this??? Or is he too far along to find one?
I always thought of myself as a strong person but I think my foundation is crumbling.
You are not crumbling, just figuring out how to cope with the "next" thing.
Everytime.. every single time we had a BIG chance... I had a few really down/crazy/give up kind of days..Then you figure something out and persevere.
I don't think anything is "normal" for this horrendous disease... but
peeing every where is 'common'.
Hang in there sista.. you are right on track.
What shall her prize be ?
I guess that I should be grateful for the fact that the pee is contained. At one stage it was in the waste basket, on top of bathroom scales etc.
None of this stuff is easy. I also hate this disease with a passion.
I'm sorry for all of us who have to deal with this.
