Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Of course there's Valentines Day (which us poor, lonely, single girls dread cause all of our coworkers are married and get flowers...woe is me..) :)
Then there's Easter, but all the kids in my family are grown, so no pretty dresses and bonnets & Easter egg hunts...
Yeah!! Blah! Blah! Blah! and Blech!
Late January is hard, and February is the worst. So what's the groundhog going to tell us this year?
I liveed on the Washington coast for 22 years. It can be gray for months on end. Many people thier suffer from depression during the winter. There is a medical term for it, but it escapes me.
the lack of sunlight actually causes some chemical changes in your body which can lead to depression.
May I suggest 6-8 minutes 2-3 times a week in a tanning booth.
on another note, my roommate just told me--he's strange on occasion--says on super bowl sunday 50 million pounds of avocatos will be consumed. that is enough to consume a football fiels 12 foot deep. now, i've been to super bowl parties and have yet to see an avocado. nary a one. what do y'all think?
wht works- Light box, welbutrin, other meds for depression. and Exercise(easier said than done)
Broad spectum light is a good alternative. Walks on sunny winter days is an alternative. (I lived in Seattle for 3 years and I know that even there an occasional ray of sunlight gets thru.) I can tell that you live on the east side of the state because of a photo you posted.
I think we're all just bored.
