Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I've been doing alot of think lately as you can tell from my posts. I am a sentimental guy and I miss things. I miss my old girlfriends, I miss my old beer drinking buddy. I remember we use to sit in his living room and watch the red sox lose and drown our sorrows in beer. He just past away from pancreatic cancer.
I miss beer and I miss the drugs that use to get me through a difficult day at work but I don't miss the work.
Not going to relapse over this, at least not today anyway......somebody change my perspective!

I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Mum, I know what you mean but I think it's natural for men to keep their feelings inside but I also understand it can be dangerous for and addict to do that.
Sally, at the time, we both needed each other to get through difficult childhoods, he lost his dad and I gave him support and my parents were drinking heavily and he supported me, so we were the best of friends at the time.
Coreen, ty also, yea pancreatic cancer is an automatic death sentence because it is so hard to detect, by the time they find it, you have less the 6 months to live.
Nicky I know you are right, I tend to get away from my Higher Power for some reason. Need to keep Him at the center of my life in all that I do.
I know I didn't answer everyone but I love you all just the same!
