Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Hahahaha! Wait to be "taxed" on your garbage bags!!!!!
Welcome to TX
off the soapbox....
I agree, that people that are responsilbe should be held accountable -by attaching pay to performance. Lee Iacocca is an example. You turn the big buck, you get the big bucks.
As far as grifters, con men, horsethieves and politicians of any stripe, they should all be given a final free ride - after being tarred and feathered...
buck up and work to your ability and appreciate your worth.
oh by the way......my pup's poop is his own business..............i am reluctant to stick my nose where it doesn't belong.
If they truely earned ( AKA worked for ) their money more power to them. The problem is that the haves control the lawmakers and therefore tilt the playing field.
Why did you think that 401 K's are tax deferred and investing in Joe's Hardware isn't? When the stock market crashed, YOU were vested to bail they're asses out!
Paris Hilton and a grandmother struggling to raise 4 kids in a broken down trailer, should not exist in the same society at the same time. Should they?
And how come the Hollywood actor who makes 50 million a film is a model citizen but the CEO who makes 50 million is evil and greedy?
But why do you automatically think corporate size limitations would increase government? The fact is we creat useless agencies and buerocrocies to regulate the megacorps now, which is far more government than a few simple and actually enforced rules would be.
But corporations have no rights under the Constitution. How big is too big. When the manipulate rather than compete in whole markets.
I had a professor back in community college who knew you can't not regulate oligopies to some extent.
On the corporate side, let's say fanny mae or freddy mack, so huge you can't let them fail. And so corrupt they are destined to fail. GM, who pays government loans by borrowing government money? And is majority owned by the government.
Heinlein called these the crazy years. He was right. We have coporate-states and city-states. The corporate states are entities- if not in fact, in functionality. They have the ability to destroy and kill, just as if a war was on. and this is coming to pass.
Not money, my friend - it's all about power. Nothing but power.
We live in interesting times...
