Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
When I knew I was going to a rehab and/or detox, that's when I really let loose. I figured I might as well do it up right before I went. Not a good idea.
I'm sorry it's getting worse for you and the consequences greater, I found that too. Didn't stop me drinking though, nothing would, until I became desperate for a life where alcohol did not feature in any picture for me. I was done, completely done with the fight.
I recovered and so can you. About the family - they try to understand but they have a normal reaction to alcohol so their truth is not the same as ours. So there's the physical and mental aspect for alcoholics like me that they do not experience. The most important thing to family, I found, was that I had stopped the madness and they could get their peace of mind back. That takes time.
Safe journey my friend
