Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I am extremely triggered tonight. I want so badly to get out of my bed and get a bottle right now. I'm so upset and I'm so afraid to reach out to someone. I just don't know what to do. I'm going to smoke to the point of passing out because it's the only way I'm going to not drink.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

You don't have to go through this alone.
God Bless
Hopefully things are looking better today and that you are still on board.
The pink cloud is not real or lasting so it is natural that you have come back to earth. However, what your experience of the past few weeks has done is to give you a short glimpse of what is possible. Nothing of value comes easy or without work so it is only by working on the issues that you will reach the promised land. I remember when I started to learn how to play a musical instrument and the whole thing looked impossible and waste of time and effort but before long I could play a few simple tunes.
Keep doing what you have been doing but be prepared for some setbacks along the way as that is a natural part of life.
I hope you are doing ok. Get busy getting sober. I find if I get bored or on my pity pot ( poor me , pour me ) I am in trouble. Also know that these triggers come and they do pass. Cmon!

I enjoy my happy days, but I don't grasp onto them, because I know that they are impermanent. I siply enjoy the moment.v The same goes for my problem days. They too are impermanent.
Please take a step back and look at the bigger picture. If you can get past this and continue what you were doing, you will come to a time and place where you will love yourself and rejection won’t matter so much.
If you continue on your path and go through the steps, you will learn that those people who hurt us are perhaps spiritually sick. You would not be angry with a friend who was sick in hospital so try and look at this person who rejected you in the same way – a spiritually sick person who deserves your pity rather than anger.
Why not call the number of one of those AA friends.
