Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Is there anyone here who's husband is an alcoholic? No judgement from me. I am just trying to get some advice and support. I am not somewhere where they have AA groups for spouses. Maybe you can advise as someone who understands what he is going through. I didn't allow him to go out Friday with his friends and on Saturday he had already started drinking before I woke up. It ruined the whole day that we had to spend in public. He completely embarrassed me. How can I help him?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Check out the. Wives of alcoholic. Forum. The people there can relate and offer good network of support
Feel free to post away here anytime as well.
The thing is you gotta not enable. And honestly this is a disease in my eyes. I had to find treatment and relearn ways to cope with life. I found a way to live happy and sober in aa. Good friends and some principles to live life by. See I was addicted to the drug, alcohol. It worked VERY well to let me escape all the problems of life. Thing was it piled more problems on the top of my hangover
It is possible, but nothing in the world will work until there is a inner willingness to want to quit. That's the trick

I solved my own drinking problem years ago. Now I am dealing with a husband who is an alcoholic. It's a struggle for him and for us. You can't force him to quit, but you also shouldn't have to put up with his drunken behavior. Not easy -- you have my sympathy and support.
That was 8 years ago. Today, I have a great life, I live my life by the 12 steps and I have never been happier!
I will keep you and you husband in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless
It's especially important if you have kids to do what's in their best interest. Best wishes, Dianna
